![]() ![]() Silicone utensils are easy to clean, and they don’t pick up food or microorganisms. Silicone kitchen equipment can be put in the dishwasher or washed by hand. Hand Wash with hot water and Antibacterial soap (Dial, Ajax, etc.Unlike wooden cookware, they can be left in the sink overnight. I will use these as long as I can sand smooth and they don’t have cracks They could be black marks to twisted grain. Both woods might have, what I call birth marks. I use all the colors in cherry and walnut. The colors are dark brown to a light brownish tan. They can be lightly sanded to remove the fuss. They will sand smooth but tend to fuss up a lot when washed then dried. Walnut is a coarse open grain wood, which means the grain is a little bigger. The colors are deep red to a light reddish tan. They sand real smooth and won’t fuss up much when washed. ![]() Cherry wood is a fine grain wood which means the grains are tighter and closer together. Let me tell you a little about Cherry and Walnut. Originals will always have a number beside it, meaning one of a kind. I try to make all my items designed off the original. ![]() Remember on spoons, spatulas, spurtles, forks, rolling pins, ladles, and honey dippers you will not be getting the one that is pictured. Also cracks may occur over time, depending on how well you take care of it. If they land on the bowl end, they will more than likely break, because this part has a very short grain. These spoons, as all spoons are NOT made to with stand dropping on the floor. Regardless of what some spoon makers say grain raises all the time after use. Spoons and spatulas has been washed to raise the grain, then re-sanded and waxed with beeswax and mineral oil mix. I do these in my old time bumpy handle so they won't slip out of your hand.This one is made of Cherry, but i do make them in Walnut also. Comes with a hole and a string, so you can hang it up or you can just cut it off. Comes in 16", 20" and 24" long and 3-1/4 inches wide. The last two photos shows the difference between a my Manly large cooking spoon and a big and burly spoonīig cooking spoons for those medium size and large pots, like 12 quarts and be sure to measure the depth of your pot.
